Dancing with the Stars will reveal a new cast member every day on Good Morning America up until a larger reveal on September 2.

On Monday, the first cast member announced was Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late “crocodile hunter”
and conservationist, Steve Irwin.

The 18 year old  Australian native, appeared regularly in her father’s television shows, including The Crocodile Hunter Diaries, before he was killed by a stingray barb in 2006 while setting up a shoot for a television program. She was host of a 26-part wildlife documentary kids show called Bindi the Jungle Girl, and Bindi’s Bootcamp for the Discovery Kids television network in 2007.

“This is completely different to anything I’ve ever done in my life!” she said. “I’m used to wrangling crocodiles.”

She just got back from an annual crocodile research trip four days ago in Queensland, she told the crew at GMA. Her only experience on the dance floor so far, was a dance routine for a kids fitness video she shot a few years back.

Bindi is hoping to inspire others in their own lives to “seize opportunity and make a difference.” She’s “quite nervous” about taking the dance floor, but the young conservationist believes that it’s important to take risks, “even if it terrifies you.”

She finds the Dancing with the Stars judges much scarier than the crocodiles she wrangles. “Give me a 15-foot croc any day!” she said. She’s hoping her dance partner likes animals because “you never know what I’m going to bring to rehearsals.”

Some other celebs rumored to be on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars are singer and Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter, Bachelorette, Kaitlynn Bristow, Pretty Little Liar’s Shay Mitchell, and gymnast and American Ninja Warrior, Kacy Catanzaro.

GMA revealed the cast of pro dancers last week. Check that list HERE. It was also reported last week that long-time judge, Len Goodman, would not be returning to the panel this season, along with fellow judges, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

We’ll be back with another reveal tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Dancing with the Stars 21 premieres on Monday September 15 on ABC.
