Colton Dixon Announces “Anchor” Album Release Date, Cover Art

Colton Dixon announces the release of his sophomore album!

The American Idol season 11 alum revealed on Facebook, along with cover artwork, that his next record, titled Anchor, will be available everywhere on August 19.

The first single from the Christian contemporary effort is titled, “More of You” and is currently climbing the Christian contemporary charts.

What do you think of Colton’s album cover? It’s pretty literal. Notice the unfastened life vest–it seems to say that God can save you when nothing else can.

I like the cover. Pretty much, if it’s different from our typical head shot, I’m going to like it. Hopefully, the cover isn’t predictive of his career.

I’m seeing Colton’s name and picture around town (South Bend) on billboards advertising the upcoming World Pulse Festival July 11-12. He and Mandisa are performing, amongst others. So he seems to be doing well in his genre. Good for him.
