Carrie Underwood set to Appear on Sesame Street as “Carrie Underworm” – VIDEO

Cute! Carrie Underwood is set to appear on America’s longest running children’s television show, Sesame Street, as a specially created character known as “Carrie Underworm.”

Carrie recorded the song, “The Worm Anthem,” specifically for the show.

Carrie’s episode is currently scheduled to air February 11, March 17, April 8, and April 26 on PBS.

The song…it’s an earworm. I know. BOO. Sorry, couldn’t resist….

    I think the reason someone thought that is they misread a credits page. CMT is confirming that Carrie recorded the song. It sure sounds like her.

    Ok forget platinum albums number 1 singles or winning American Idol. Carrie has really made her mark and is a true superstar she is being immortalized as a Sesame Street Character. She has arrived. All joking aside really a great honor.

    This must mean she will be doing a scene with Oscar the Grouch! Knowing Carrie, she will charm him. I wonder if she is Slimey’s new friend? Is she going to be an earthworm rather than an earworm?

    When Carrie and Mike have their first child, she will be very proud of this accomplishment. Does she have young nieces or nephews? This is very cool.

    Carrie Underwood has inspired a new character on Sesame Street named “Carrie Underworm.” Underwood also recorded a short song, “The Worm Anthem,” specifically for the show. Pictured as an orange worm with long, blond hair and a wireless microphone, her musical segment is introduced by NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. The scene also includes Oscar the Grouch.

    This will be part of an Earth Day programming. I care for my young Grandbabes and of course have this knowledge! ;o)
