Yay :) Not surprised though considering the consensus on the great job they’ve done hosting the past 4 years.

Now that Carrie’s on Twitter, Brad won’t be able to make fun of her in a one sided way during prep meetings this year. Should be fun, especially with Carrie already trash talking. She also tweeted this last night:

Brad replied

@carrieunderwood because I’m not a jukebox like you. It was a bet. And I lost okay. I’ll get it back.”

I guess they were playing Song Pop?

Or maybe, Carrie was checking to see if Brad knows the lyrics to Pants On The Ground, You Are My Brother, She Bangs, and other important songs to American Idol history ;)

Apparently, sources reported Brad was meeting with Idol/FOX on Monday. Yesterday, he was back in Nashville.

ptebwwong: Maybe Carrie was testing Brad to see if he knows songs from different genres if he does become an Idol judge.

Carrie has always been a fan of other music besides country so I could see her test him.

Very possible. 

She could also just have been messing with him because she knew she’d win ;) But, it’s fun to speculate. 

buffynut2001, if you check the previous post MJ linked, Jimmy Carter (a Music Row entertainment news reporter who’s gotten Brad scoop before) had reported yesterday that face to face to face meetings between Brad and whoever’s involved on the Idol end on Tuesday had gone well. It’s possible they met on Monday too.

He did say talks were continuing, but hypothetically if it’s progressed to a matter of negotiating schedules/salary, then Brad wouldn’t have to be there for that. Or, if the Tuesday meetings were just about seeing if they want to take it to the next step of starting to negotiate a deal, then Brad wouldn’t need to still be there after the Tuesday meetings.

Love Brad; but Carrie is beginning to bore the hell out of me.
