American Idol 2008 Tour Tickets…

Once again, the Rocky Mountain West is ignored. Except for the SLC area and the fact that Archie hails from there, I would imagine the whole region would have an AI blackout. Seriously, Denver is a large city. You’d think they’d want to come here a bit more frequently.

I am such a fangirl. I haven’t even gotten my Tampa ticket yet, but I just bought an 18th row floor seat at the Kansas City concert.

So dante, if you don’t get better seats than that, I’ll gladly sell you this ticket if I’m not able to come. Or, I’ll come and we’ll go to the show together.

I’ll be checking Chicago’s too. That’s the show I would more likely be able to make it to anyway. Grrrrr.

Going to my first show! I’m very excited! I’ve always wanted to go when I was really a fan of a season, and I still regret not going on Season 4 and 5 because my other two favorites stem from there, but it just never worked out, or they didn’t even come to Indiana, and I just am not the kind of girl who drives over the USA to go see the idols. I always had too many responsibilities to do that, as fun as it sounded.

But I’m going to the Evansville, Indiana. It was either that or Ft. Wayne, both more than two hours away.

September 11th is a long way away! But I’m already excited. My girlfriends bought me a ticket, so I’m not entirely sure exactly where I’m sitting quite yet. I’ll have to ask the specifics.

However, I’m excited! I just hope there isn’t a slew of Archie fans that are going to make me fell like I’m at some Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers concert. Ick.

I’m there for my two faves: Cookie, and Jason. Ah, what a good night it shall be.

Got my tickets Wednesday on presale. I’m pretty happy with them.

What an absolute party this concert is going to be!!!

The screaming is going to be deafening. And alot of it is going to come from me!

Got mine Wednesday too at the pre-sale – 23rd row on the floor, not super but not bad. Detroit Rock City! And I’m going to see Cookie and Jason too! Even went over to cafepress and got a Dreadhead t-shirt to wear. Such a grandma-fangirl I am.

I have only been to one other AI concert and that was for Season 2. I remember the cheering and screaming for Clay – and the panties thrown on stage! What fun it was. I’m sure this group will put together a great show as well. I really like all of them. It is gonna be a blast and I am truly looking forward to it.

OK, 2 hours, much frustration with Ticketmaster, a trip to a ticket broker site and $350 later, I have 4th row lower-level seats close to the stage to see DC in DC. Gosh! I guess I’ll let mr. cheese know this is my birthday present this year. He’ll be thrilled!

Shush cheese. I’m an impulsive buyer. Yes, this is a problem. But no, I will not be going to Tulsa. Although I DID consider it, so don’t tempt me! LOL.

Vagabond, I’ll be at the Joe too! My seats aren’t great – sec 126 but I am still excited to go. I have a party of 8 going from 9 years to 70, so considering all of that, our seats will be fine! I can’t believe I talked my Mom and Dad (68 and 70!) into going! They have never been to a concert before! Mom is a big Jason fan and Dad is for Brooke!

Breakdown: 4 Dreadheads, 3 WordNerds/Cookies and 1 Brooke – not sure what her fan base name is lol! We will have a blast!

I’m still waiting (quite impatiently, might I add) for my tickets to go on sale!!! Hope I can get some good ones!!

KK, it’s giving me seats in the 200 level. Grr. I’m still trying.

I got one floor seat in sect 112, Row B for Chicago. It wouldn’t let me get more than one on the floor and there weren’t any available on the Main floor! I’m a little bit disappointed :/

I got tickets on Wednesday and still didn’t get floor seats although didn’t try until a couple of hours after it opened. I’m still happy with the seats which are to the side of the stage but with a good view. Can’t wait to see Michael!

pj/chachi…I got seats in the 100 level, row H (which I guess is like the 8th row), and I think they’re on the aisle too, which is nice. But still, I want to see my dreadhead boy closer than that!!

I even got floor seats to a JOHN MAYER concert at this venue….why was it impossible this time?

I’m not sure about Newark, but the other 2 are probably at the popular demand of the David fans.

I think they usually have 2 shows in Dallas but at a smaller venue. They’re going to be at the American Airlines Center which is the big time. I’ll be interested to see how well it sells because the nosebleeds really would be bad for sound and seeing.

Maybe they’ll add a show in Nashville! I’d totally go visit my BFF and drag her away from her 2 year old and 3 month old to go to the show with me.

I need them to add a concert in either Birmingham, Nashville, Jacksonville or Tallahassee before August 18, the first day of school! I don’t think they have ever been to Tallahassee – I don’t know why! It is weird that Nashville isn’t on the schedule – especially with Kristy Lee in the top 10. It was a great stop for Phil and Melinda last year!

If I recall correctly, the numbers for the Idol tour in the south were poor last year, even by the standards of the poor overall numbers. I think Birmingham had 39% capacity for its venue.

Got mine for Tulsa, floor seats 12 rows back, centered, aisle in front of me.

This is a repost because I put it in the wrong place the first time. Is anyone else appear to be getting close to a sell out for their hometown concert? Now granted this is David Cooks hometown Kansas City. The Sprint Centers Friday night show has only the way, way back tickets left. The newly added Saturday show still has a few half way (literally) decent seats. Last years Idol tour barely sold out the state fair. What was it like for all of you and did they sell out many venues last year?

Dallas isn’t anywhere near sold out although the highest priced tickets are gone. I don’t think it will be long before they’re into only the lowest priced tickets in the nosebleed section.

It’s hard to compare previous seasons because they were at the Nokia Center which is much smaller although I think they had 2 shows.

I must have been in a coma the last few days because I DIDN”T know the tickets were on sale!!!!!!! Haven’t been on computer since Thurs night so I didn’t get my ticketmaster alert or Sprint Center alert!!! I can’t believe it. Since this is Cookie’s hometown seats are going fast – glad to read above that a second show has been added!
