Alex Ryan – Alex auditioned in New Jersey but was not shown during the episode. He seems very raw, not having the same type of performance experience that fellow teens like Thia have. That could give him potential to grow on the show, however.  Alex has an interesting look that could appeal to some, and in a field that looks light on rock could stand out.

    He’s probably better off not making Top 20, because he’d be fodder. While Idol is about contestants showing growth, most teens that do well have a solid performance background. I don’t see that here.

    his voice is bland and boring !!! Nothing that stands out in the crowd… what is the problem with the judges this year ? looks to me that their standards are pretty low.Even the pimped ones are not that great … i miss season 8,7,5 and 4.

    Not impressed with his singing. That was an interesting mash-up of California Dreaming and Crazy.

    There’s something unapealing about the way he performs the songs. His voice is average, seems like a Canon fodder.

    I’d be surprised if he makes it to the Top 20. If he does make it to the Top 20, the public won’t get him to advance and no wildcards will be used on him.
