Well, I just posted some comments about that soundcheck video in the previous thread — funny bits, made-up lyrics from what I could tell, gorgeous Cry Baby duet, and very nice though extremely brief DWTP harmonies.

And awesome singing. It always freaks me out when I hear a great musician suddenly break into something in the middle of just talking or hanging around — it’s just so weird to hear the great skill jump out without warning.

Awesome performance. I think I like this one better than the AOL one. She seemed more at ease with the vocals and the band is definitely loosening up, specially Dave. He seems to be enjoying himself a lot more now. I kind of figured Allison wore pants to this performance and not a short, micro skirt because it was cold and this was outside

I’m glad some people are getting to hear Allison performing Holiday, it’s a good answer to the “I thought she was putting out a rock album?” question that kept on popping up after the release of FIBOU.

I’ll use this thread as an excuse to say I just love her album. She is just such a fantastic singer.

Bless her heart, did she trip at 2:51? If so, she pulled a Lambert and recovered quite nicely.

I don’t think so, that’s just Allison heh.

I’d buy tickets to hear her live. Next to Adam she’s my fave performer to come out of this season.

Awesome performance. I think I like this one better than the AOL one.

Hard to compare the two in that the AOL is more like a recording session whereas the Jingle Ball is a concert. I think both are excellent in their own way. But the vocal in the AOL is perfection.

I like the soundcheck better than the Holiday performance. I guess because its more like her acoustic performances and I like the songs better. Her voice sounds more impressive to me on the soundcheck. JohnM – “it’s just so weird to hear the great skill jump out without warning.” Yeah, that.

The Ellen show might be posted here before I get to see it on my local time of 5pm. Something similar happened with Adams show due the different local listings. I’m guessing the northeast gets a shot at it first.
I’ll wait to see it in the big screen first.

Actually I was thinking more ripped at the knees, not shredded. Again, maybe a little too OTT for me. She’s got so much going on with her hair, that everything else should be toned down. AGAIN, just my opinion.

It’s pretty much station-by-station. Here in the Albany NY area it’s on at 4:00.
