Adam Lambert Performs “Trespassing” in Japan (VIDEO)

Adam Lambert in in Tokyo to play the Sonic Music Festival on August 18 and 19, but in the meantime he’s promoting his latest album Trespassing on radio and TV.

Watch Adam perform the title track on a Japanese TV talk show. The American Idol alum manages to NOT look confused as the hosts chatter in Japanese around him.  I want to know more about those three dudes sitting at the desk.  The one on the left seemed to be really enjoying himself! Heh.

I’ve said it on the other thread but I’ll say it again:)

He sounded great! and if I didn’t know better, I would say he lip synched. That’s how great he is!

His new hair makes him look so fierce.

Why is Adam always in a foreign country?

  • YankeeFan08

Because he’s promoting his album. He’s going to Australia next.

Here’s a pic from a peformance yesterday.  Really love his new look.

Why is Adam always in a foreign country?

For the same reasons other artists with international following go to foregin countries.

he looks fantastic with his new hair. wow.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Thanks for posting that video. Adam looks cute in that outfit! lol I think that he’s enjoying his visit to Japan.

“Why is Adam always in a foreign country?”
His style of music is not very popular in the US.  I don’t think is homophobia, though there might be some of that.

Hello – Adam’s in Japan to perform at the Summer Sonic Music Festivals in Tokyo and Osaka with the likes of Rihanna, Green Day and other major super stars.

  • waynocoaster

Oh it was pre-recorded.  Didn’t see any other microphones, but there were back up singers “somewhere”.

  • waynocoaster

I presume he’s the opening act.

  • Anonymous

Nope – He’s the headliner of one of the three main stages (8 acts precede him). Rihanna and Green Day headline the other two main stages.  Here have a look for yourself: http://www.summersonic.com/2012/lineup/

Oh please – give us a break.  His vocals and band were live – there were pre-recorded back up vocals – that’s all.

JApanese television always looks so funny and crazy :D He was flawless, maybe there could be some song-specific dance move incorporated?

So it looks like his next single would be Trespassing. Fans have been guessing between Trespassing and Cuckoo because those were the ones he sang in the Pretty Little Liars shooting. Unless they decide to go with Cuckoo in USA and with Trespassing abroad. Would suit me fine, as I think that Cuckoo would me more radio friendly in USA.

Perhaps a little homework would be useful before presuming.

What a great performance!! His vocals just at out of this world and I love that he adds subtle parts here and there to make each performance unique and different! Such a treat :)

I was a little iffy on the hair, but I really love it!

The pics from yesterday’s concert were amazing!!

    Socialite life:

I don’t remember Adam ever NOT singing live. He likes to change his songs just  a little every time he performs them…

Adam looks and sounds fantastic. I hope videos of yesterdays concert shows up somewhere.

Wow! Great performance and talk about looking handsome.

  • Anonymous

The concert was filmed for replay oN Japanese television from what I understand.

  • HotHotHot

I think that yesterday’s concert will be shown on TV later, that is why no filming!!

Most hysterical inyerview ever! LMAO! How he managed to look so engaged and not look confused with 4 people talking at once is beyond me!!

  • Axxxel

I think he just tried to concentrate on what the translator told him and tried to zone out on the other voices…

  • Axxxel

Still hoping for Cuckoo in the US… I mean, the sentence with the “Straight Jacket” wouldn’t create a problem ???

Here are some clips from the concert yesterday! Fantastic looking crowd and so organized in their clapping and arm waving!!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ACMLXLYSSX73RNYQOUZWSO2I4U Enough already!

The performance was awesome, but the after performance was a hoot!   I expected his head to start spinning in opposite directions at some point, but no, he just smiled and made everyone feel fabulous!

  • Anonymous

Loved this performance, and I’ve always loved that black jacket…

these 3 guys (4 with the interpreter) interviewed him before he sang, how Adam stayed so composed with them all speaking Japanese to him at once whilst trying to listen to the English translation at the same time is beyond me.
The guy in cream that touched his chest and pushed him, is the same guy that touched his chest on the same show last time he was in Japan…

That boy is pure sunshine!!  He just glows and those around him respond to his positive vibes.  Singing is superb as usual.  Never have to worry about his performance.

Thanks for posting. Love the energy from the crowd, just WOW!!

If his hair were longer, he could have stepped out of a Renaissance painting in that outfit.   Black and austere – would have gone perfectly with that stunning black Italian hat he wore a few months ago.  Always entertaining.

  • seashellz51

What a sweetheart Adam is. Trespassing sounded awesome here. And he looks fab with the chrome platinum hair. In top form as always.

  • Anonymous

Hmm, I’m starting to like this artist and his songs. I like “Tresspassing”, for one.

  • Anonymous

So, you believed it was lip synched? lol
see, that’s how great vocalist he is. It so good and almost perfect. But it’s OBVIOUSLY live. I understand the confusion because he sounds better live than his recording sometimes:)

The person on the left who clapping while Adam was performing is Eiji Wentz. He’s from WaT (a duo group with Koike Teppei). Both of them are singer and movie or tv drama actor. Here’s an eye candy picture of both of them.

One of the thing that I love most about Japan is that they’re very modern country yet they still maintain its traditional value and culture. It almost like there are no clash between those two. A breath of fresh air indeed after watching the partisanship that’s going on in US.

  • Anonymous

You’re attempting to make it sound positive that he rarely sings in America.

  • Anonymous

” he rarely sings in America.”

LOL The dude just got a week vacation before he left for Japan. I got headaches from just reading his schedule since January. He has few gigs internationally including The Queen concerts but it will drown in comparison for his US performances.

  • justmefornow

He is definitely singing live, but with heavy backing tracks on the chorus. Maybe you are not used to backing tracks, like me. Rock acts that I listen to don’t ever use them, they are totally 100% live. But this is probably more common in pop music.

  • Anonymous

I agree Adam has been very busy. The number of performances he did on his radio tour before he went to London, is crazy. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year is going to be like. Hopefully some more performances with Queen and touring with his own band.
