No need to apologize smeggs! I’m sure that any DH’s that have been shut down were not due to being in these threads. If that were true, all of them would have been shut down. You just need to follow the twitter list and you have a good idea who’s streaming.

So what does one do if he (or she) has no twitter account? I can e-mail them and they can see that I have been lurking here for a while now or doesn’t MJ’s count?…Maybe I’ll boycott the GlamFansUnite twitter thread altogether. We got hit with a cold wave in Milw too today. Last weekend it was so hot yer face melted and we had to hit the beach to cool off. Now it’s sweater weather. Better bring a jacket for tomorrow night. It’s an outdoor venue too. Damn, I was hoping to see “Sweaty Adam”

This venue is ridic. Unless someone is standing next to the stage or is 7 feet tall there is no way to see anything..

smeggingnuts….of the many many DH’s we’ve had, very few were really worth staying up for. Honestly, that opening montage including the FYE remix got me every time. After that the show goes soooo fast. The next time we see one will really be special.

10DogMom… I drove 4 and a half hours to the first show in Wilkes Barre, and over 5 hours to foxwoods, hours to Upper Darby. Adam is so worth it. I love road trips anyway. Love rest stops, diners…the whole thing!

Cam’s group (duo) Uh Huh Her is playing at a Gay Pride event in Duluth tomorrow. She will most likely join her duo partner there for that concert but is with Adam tonight. She and her band partner share the twitter account so that might have lead to some confusion. Zac who played keys before Cam joined the Glam Band is lurking around and seems that he will take over during her absence. At least that is what I deduced from twitter and a little sleuthing.

Hi, all! everyone at family reunion is watching some sort of sports game and I can quietly sit and pretend to be researching something for a fellow teacher… I went to college in Iowa and this is a very cool bridge, BTW, and Adam seems to like quirky venues (and he has seen a few!). Have missed the blog the past few nights…re the DHs, actually most are poor but the sense of “real time” does have something that no video after the fact can provide. Love both for different reasons. And a couple of the DHs have been first rate!

I only tried to listen to the first few DH’s – I’m just as happy reading all the comments and enjoying all the links you and so many others post for reviews, pictures, youtubes, etc. And then – voila! Beautiful videos to enjoy the next morning . It’s all “good” in the best sense of the word. Smeggs..Don’t give the DH BS another thought. Even if it was this site that caused someone’s U-stream account to be shut down (which I don’t think for one minute it was) they were wrong to try and blame you or MJ’s. All you/we are is a group of fans that love Adam Lambert and we are just here trying to enjoy each others company and have a good time. All they would have had to do is sent you a nice email stating that they don’t know why this is happening but because peoples accounts are being shut down would you mind not posting any streaming info online. That would have more than handled it…it should have been that simple, without any accusation or blame behind it. Don’t they realize we are all in this together! LOVE AND LIGHT PEEPS!!

Adam’s nerd look is cute in my book! One of my fave pix of the summer was him in the infamous aqua shorts. Amazing how he transforms from that look to the concert look.

did you resize your pictures to put them on imageshack. i’ve never used that service so I don’t know what happens to your file when you upload. I downloaded your image and it was 1.6 x 2.1 inches with a resolution of 300. the 300 resolution is wonderful but the picture size is tiny.
I changed it to 72 dpi which is the resolution for a computer monitor and cropped out the extraneous people. It will make the picture size much smaller. If you want to email me the file from your camera before uploading it, i can look at it.

Sound, sadly, being blown away on these vids. Adam says doesn’t keep clippings, etc. of concerts. But, since he has a great sense of humor, hope in the future he’ll put in print some of his experiences trying to make it in today’s music biz through these concerts. And some of these venues – the slaughterhouse in Lubbock, the microwave turntables in Massachusetts, and now on a windy bridge in Des Moines – fodder for a great retrospective. So much fun to watch.

No of course not – at least as far as I am concerned. And don’t you live in the Okanagan Valley area? I remembered that you live in the same province as me and are also of Dutch origin. Weelassie – I’ve been to the AI tour in D.C. last year and to the Glam Nation tours in 930 Club in D.C. and the beautiful Warner Theatre in Erie, PA. (The last, as you probably know, was the introduction of both TCB and dancing in the aisles – absolutely fantastic.) I had family and friends with me. All would love to go to more concerts – especially those who DIDN’T go and now hear the reviews from other family members. Maybe next time around. Really hope so.

Aww, too bad, that’s what I had in Vancouver and to me it really put a damper on the experience. But being able to see him well is definitely a plus.
As for Glam Nation, I saw four!! Seattle, Portland, Costa Mesa and Vegas. Three of them GA, and the one with seats, Costa Mesa, was my favourite. In Vegas I stood on a ledge, so was a bit taller than the people in front of me and could see pretty good too. I was surprised that my son didn’t mind seeing Adam four times.
I haven’t given up hope that he’ll come to Canada. I’m ready!

Hi everyone. I had sort of a silly question and thought I’d ask you guys because you all seem nice and I’m sure most of you probably know. Why does Suz call her IIHY vids STMNBN? And what does it stand for?

Anyways, just wanted to “delurk” a moment and ask, and also let you know that I really appreciate these concert threads. Thanks to Smeggs and everyone else that put them together, your hard work is appreciated. And thanks to all who participate. I’m an Adam fan and used to comment some nights during the AI tour that season. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, my life got a whole lot busier this past year, and I mostly work evenings now. I still love to pop in and lurk about a little after work, or the next morning to watch the vids, and skim through the comments and check out the links and pics you all include. I have only started hearing IIHY on the radio this week. I guess it just depends. All my friends listen to the radio however, I don’t know anyone who watches VH1 anymore. Once again, it just depends.

This is why I try to rally the troops to keep voting each week even though IIHY has been on the countdown for a while. In my opinion, many people become increasingly more apathetic about the voting process once the video starts doing well.

Hair always grows back. It’s the tattoos that are the irrevocable – or at least very hard to get rid of.

On another note, Adam’s Vevo views are soaring: IIHY is now over 5 million, WWFM over 7 million, FYE over 4 million, rising quite a bit daily. Can’t wait for that concert video to go up!!
But, I still vote on VH1 …..

Yep. I think he just goes with his instinct. He is so well spoken, I love to hear him speak almost as much as I love his singing. He does not try to be something he isn’t. He owns his actions, whether people love it or hate it. I for one, love it.

This is my recap from my M&g with Adam.
In july I was working around my house and I found myself thinking about Adam. I wondered I would say to him if I got the chance. After a little bit, I laughed and said “ya right, like that will happen”. Before my one and only concert, Des Moines, the M&G’s were unveiled on the fan site. I hopped on it right away because I wanted to get his autograph for my grandson. OMG I realized I was going to get my chance to talk with him. The universe works in wonderful ways.
When I walked into the room I felt such a connection. He’s very warm and accessible. I first asked if he knew we were in a state where gays could marry. He said someone had just told him. I said that I would bring my partner and he could bring his and we could tie the knots. He said first he had to find one. Told him the universe has already taken care of that. He only needed to be careful that he didn’t miss his love. Like I almost missed mine.
Then I told him that back in the early 70’s I was taken to court for my children. It wasn’t until the end that my attorney informed me that I was the first out gay to go to court in Wisconsin. And I won. I told Adam all I ever wanted to be was a Mom. But that experience took me places I never knew. I came back to my home state, a very conservative place, and organized a group of 30 people. We came out to friends, family, we organized conferences, retreats and parties. Damn we had good parties. Adam laughed and agreed. Later it was suicide hot lines and Aids work. I told him that I understood when he said that he just wanted to be a singer. I appreciated that. But , from the first time I saw him on Idol I knew he was meant for more. I told him that each time he stepped on stage, gave an interview, had photos taken with the boys, he needed to understand that he was saving lives. That our suicide rate was so high and these young people were watching him. So I told him just go sing and the other parts would take care of themselves. I didn’t give him much chance to respond because I was aware of his time.
So I went on to tell him about my grandson. I had a photo of him with his dog. Adam told me my grandson was cute. Then he said: “Wow look at that dog. It’s really cute.” (So he is a dog person.) I told him that he was the first singer that my grandson paid attention to. He had his Mom vote for Adam each time. My Mom, myself, my daughter took my grandson to his first concert. It was the Idol tour in Minneapolis. My grandson downloaded his album. And that year he sang WWFM and IIHY to his class a cappella. I told Adam he wanted to do FYE but his Mom steered him in a different direction. (He was only 9 years old.). Adam laughed and said: “That probably wouldn’t have worked” Then he signed the the picture of my grandson.
It was time for the photo and I thanked him for the time he gave me. And I got the best hug that seemed to last a long time. A very very nice connection. Now Adam stands over 6 foot and I don’t even clear 5 foot. So before the picture was taken I told him I would stand tall, if he stood short so Neil could get us in the same frame. I turned to the camera and all of a sudden I felt him bend his knees and we both laughed.
What has been so nice to watch since then is Adam growing into his place in this universe. In interviews, the It Get Better video, and the icing on the cake was the words he spoke at the first show in Los Angeles. He now is more that just a singer. Ya Adam. I’m sorry. I hope that I didn’t get to wordy.
