I wouldn’t be surprised if Adam got the Idol judge job.  If he doesn’t get it, I would equally be unsurprised.  LOL   Who knows.    Like I said before, I do think Adam needs other avenues other than radio to get his music out there.   Either TV, Movies or more Queen gigs or a new albun with Queen.     He is having a tough time getting radio play this time around.    It was good to see NCOE on the Dance charts however.

Maybe if they release Tresspassing as the next single, that would take off.   I like it better than the other two songs released.

What’s interesting though is apparently Adam’s UK publicist is coming to LA in September.  It may not be for anything Idol related, but apparently whatever it is it’s important enough for her to be here.  Can’t wait to find out what it is.  Exciting times ahead!

Danny was interesting because his sob story was pimped at every opportunity. If anyone could be called arrogant, he’s the one I would throw in that category. I agree Constantine, Daughtry and Cook had a lot of confidence, but I didn’t they were arrogant. Constantine was just weird, Daughtry knew he was good and just needed the a label to sign him(some people might think that’s arrogance, but he just believed in himself and his talent) and Cook always had a vulnerability to him that kept his confidence from looking to be arrogance in my opinion.

I’m going to put my money on a tour with Queen and new album, maybe even getting the soundtrack to the new James Bond movie. I would much rather for him to be out performing music than being an Idol judge, even if it get’s great promo.  Hopefully it’s a tour part of the time with his band and a few months with Queen. I’m not greedy, I just want it all.

I was just mesmerized with Adam’s singing and performances with Queen.  He just fit in there so well!  Whatever he decided, I hope he’ll be happy.

I guess I never got the arrogance label for Adam either. Of course he was confident! When you are as good and as experienced as he was it’s not arrogant to be confident.

But I’m telling you, those guys all got painted with the “arrogant” brush on sone of the other boards. People loathed Daughtry, and Cook was accused of being smug and thinking he was above it all, before Tptb gave him the humble, redemption arc. Lol. Adam was always so gracious and took any criticism so well. Cook’s little rebuttal to Simin early on was almost his doom. LOL

Whatever he’s doing, it’s going to be amazing.

This is what I have been saying all along. Adam would be a fantastic judge and they’d be lucky to have him, but for his own sake I hope he doesn’t do it. His name would be forever, inexorably tied to Idol, and he and his music are better than that.

He’s still being mentioned in EW articles and E! Articles. The rumors were also included in most of the hair articles.

Aw, cute video message from Adam in Japan! Yes the hair looks great! http://www.summersonic.com/2012/news/index.html#item109

Whatever he’s doing, it’s going to be amazing.

Bottom line…that’s what I hope for, more than anything.  I think getting Idol would be amazing, but if it’s not that, I hope it’s something more than just, say, a music video shoot – which would be nice, but nothing that would necessarily have any real effect on his career.

I do have to say I don’t quite get the argument that Adam didn’t specifically deny, by name, the Idol rumor in order to keep getting publicity from it.  By now, he’s pretty much gotten all the mileage from that rumor that he’s going to get.  He’s not really getting mentioned in new stories about the judge search, or if he is, it’s just one name among several.  The announcement will probably be made within the next few days anyway.  He’d probably get more attention for saying it ain’t happening than for not addressing it.  At this point, I just want Idol to announce the judges, so I can stop thinking about it!

    he’s so gorgeous:)

Idol contestants are forever tied to idol, whether your Carrie, Kelly or Adam.

There is a a subtle difference though. Kelly and Carrie were discovered by Idol, but they became superstars and leapt out of the bubble because of their music and talent. I want the same for Adam. I don’t want to see “Popular American Idol Judge Adam Lambert”. If that makes sense? He might get an uptick in sales temporarily, but it will always come with a qualifier on it, I fear. Remember all those celebrities who were permanent fixtures on the gameshow circuit in the 70′s and 80′s? Paul Lynde was a very accomplished actor, but he will forever be known as a bit of a joke and the Centre Square in Hollywood Squares. I was just reading an article about this very phenomenon the other day. Guest judge or mentor? For sure. Permanent judge? I’d rather that not happen.

I think it was a denial, too. Yes it could be whatever is keeping his calendar open for Sept is still not a signed deal. “Not that I know of” could be just a dig at the finalization of whatever is going on with a wink I guess. He did say there are things he’s not ready to talk about so…it could even be a recurring tv role like PLL type of thing – although I don’t think he’d put music secondary to that in a big way.

I also think that since we don’t know what Idol’s potential new format will be, it could be a secondary position like mentor or even the one who travels to these remote towns bus tour thing to screen the talent. They had singers in the past on the screening judging panel right? Katy Perry did it once I think.

Or the surprise person who shows up for the ones that friends & family have nominated. That would be a part time “job” that would be more “fitting” for his stature of a singer not the same realm of diva Mariah but still something perfectly in his wheelhouse. OH wait, that’s already in progress right? So probably not lol.

It doesn’t matter what Adam does, there are going to be some people who will criticize no matter what. There are those who look for the bad in everything he do, so he just as well do what he wants.

whatever happens in Adams career – I am a fan. I think he is brilliant.  I can’t forget what Paula Abdul said to him on Idol – that “you will be iconic”.  In every performance Adam does,  no matter what it is, he is lightyears ahead of any Idol winner or other runnerup or anyone on any other talent show.  He is truly gifted, and truly a phenomena..  I still can’t get over what he was able to accomplish with Queen, just did all their songs so proud and so brilliant.  Adam deserves all accolades, awards, appearances, etc. because he is so gifted and a truly phenomenal singer and performer and entertainer..  no matter what he does.  I would love for him to be an Idol judge, makes me want to watch and care about it again, since I have not since his season.  He brought that season to life, gave it a new life and since then,  since that season, it has been boring and kinda over for me.  It is missing something.  I am hoping for Adams future, he is able to get a hold of or write brilliant songs such as Queen , songs that will last with time and years and generations.

Thank you – feel exactly the same way.

Adam will bring spice to AI, a different flavor.  Hate him, love him…whatever…you can not ignore him.  Adam will never be boring… He may not be Simon, but I am sure  he will be as interesting and a different nice twist. Two years with  AI would be enough. The judges do not pick the winner… it is the viewers.  So colorful comments, gimmick from the judges will  be welcome!!  There should be camaraderie between them, audience, Ryan and contestants.  Adam should have of course a very wide interest and appreciation of different genre in music.  As P2 have proved, it is not all right pitches and keys which make an American idol.
