Wait…what????!!!? Season 7 Idol Carly Smithson is promoting her husband’s run in the upcoming NYC marathon as part of the National Stroke team. But here’s the thing, Carly herself experienced stroke symptoms and has been under a doctors care!
Stay healthy Carly, and good luck to your husband on his run! If you would like to donate to Todd Smithson’s campaign. The NYC Marathon will take place on November 6. “Stroke is no stranger to my family and on November 6th I will be running for my Wife !” writes Todd.
Billboard magazine checks in on how the concert touring business is doing so far in 2011. They report, “After the bloodbath of 2010, and the more moderate pain of 2009, the touring industry came into 2011 more than a little gun-shy. As we take stock of the first half of the year, you can almost hear the sigh of relief.
This clip of Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo singing “Tonight” from West Side Story makes me wonder how many rockers out there are actually closet high school gleeksters? Rivers’ earnest delivery here is pretty…well it’s pretty adorable. Which is why I could not resist a slightly off topic post today.
