American Idol Live Tour Announces New Sponsors

Ford, Coca-Cola, and U.S. Air Force Reserve are joining the American Idols Live tour as sponsors. Coke is sponsoring visits by Idols to the Ronald McDonald house in selected cities (Paul and Casey visited a house in Stanford, CA yesterday). Plus, the Idols will be doing base visits as part of the US Airforce Reserve sponsorship, and Ford will give away meet and greet passes to luck fans.

Emmy Nominations – American Idol, Glee and More

HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce topped the list with 21 nominations, followed by 19 for Mad Men, which won best drama for the last three years. Boardwalk had 18, and Modern Family, 17.

Idol Headlines for 07/14/11

Nigel Lythgoe reveals to TV Guide that DWTS pro and former SYTYCD contestant Chelsie Hightower will return as an All-Star, “Chelsie Hightower is coming back, ” Lythgoe says. “We’re delighted she’s coming back from Dancing with the Stars for us. She’ll be going back to them, of course.” The rest of the All-stars will be announced on tonight’s SYTYCD results show.

Pia Toscano tweets, “Shooting the video for This Time”

Adam Lambert’s VH1 Behind the Music special has a new premiere date. It will air on Sunday August 7, so mark your calendars! The networks has moved the series from Wednesdays to Sundays. Check out the brand-new schedule HERE.

Idols In Concert – Stats – 07/14/11

No Season 10 stats yet, but it’s probably a bit early to be expecting them. I’m still holding out hope that we get them this year since AEG is back in charge and the tour isn’t an epic disaster. There is a concert from Jordin after the jump and we are still waiting to see the download numbers for this week.

More Glee Season 3 Spoilers, No Plans For A Spinoff Say Sources

The Hollywood Reporter posted a longer version of the magazine’s recent Q&A with Glee creator, Ryan Murphy. In the short version, we learned that popular Glee stars, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will not be returning to Glee after their characters graduate from high school at the end of Season 3.

In the longer version, Ryan expands on what we can expect from Glee in Season 3 and beyond, he addresses those spinoff rumors, and clears up the Chord Overstreet brouhaha and more. Plus he talks a little about the Oxygen competition reality show, The Glee Project.
