Luke Friend auditioned for The Voice UK 2015?
Olly Murs: How is new album Never Been Better sounding?
Despite finishing second on The X Factor back in 2009, Olly Murs has gone on to become the most successful male solo artist in the show’s history. He has sold three million albums in the UK alone, not to mention nabbing four No.1 singles. After skipping a year to give himself more time to work on album number four, the Essex crooner will return on November 24 with Never Been Better.
And, judging from the six songs we’ve heard from the new album, the title rings true. New single ‘Wrapped Up’ is what we’ve come to expect from an Olly comeback; there’s a funky disco riff, dancefloor beat and an infectious chorus. It’s destined to be the get-up-and-dance anthem at this year’s Christmas parties. “It’s what I’m good at,” Olly said at the playback in London, and we’re sure the general public will agree when it premieres on Friday (October 3).

EXCLUSIVE: One Direction’s Niall Horan hints romance troubles inspired Steal My Girl
EXCLUSIVE: Niall Horan has hinted that his own romance troubles inspired One Direction’s new single.
The Irishman – said to carry a torch for an ex from his home town – said Steal My Girl was about trying to hold on to a teen sweetheart.
He told Metro: ‘You’re writing about a girl that you’ve known since you were very young.
‘You have so much in common and that, and everyone is trying to steal her because she’s that nice.’
Down-to-earth Niall may still dream of what might have been if he had stayed in Mullingar instead of finding fame and fortune with 1D.
But the blond singer insisted that, despite recent rumours of a split, there is no chance he or any of his bandmates will emulate Take That’s Jason Orange by walking away.

Don’t Look Now, But One Direction Is Making Great Rock Music
After embracing 80’s tunes on their last album, 1D is back with another killer single. Will casual fans care that One Direction is no longer a pop band?
When all is said and done, what will One Direction’s legacy be? Surely the U.K. quintet will be remembered as one of the biggest boy bands in the history of pop music, capable of selling out stadiums and birthing a new No. 1 album every year. But will 1D be remembered as one of the best boy bands ever, the one that distanced itself from the loathsome qualifiers often tied to industry-formed pop collectives and actually evolved into a genuinely enjoyable act? One Direction is miles away from where it started when it formed in 2010 and was slinging out tasty pop-rock treats, and now holds the title of World’s Greatest Classic-Rock Band That Doesn’t Really Play Instruments and Wasn’t Alive in the 1980s. I don’t know how we got here, and I don’t know how much if it can be chalked up to Harry, Liam, Zayn, Niall and Louis, but here we are.

The mane man: 1D’s Harry Styles displays man bun as he touches down in Atlanta with Niall Horan… before helping fan propose to his girlfriend at concert
While it might be some time until he decides to settle down, Harry Styles proved he’s the perfect wing man for those who are ready to pop the big question.
The One Direction star, 20, was seen touching down in Atlanta aboard a private jet with his bandmate Niall Horan, 21, on Wednesday, ahead of their anticipated show at the Georgia Dome.
With his ever-growing locks tied into a man bun, the pop heart-throb wore a green hoodie, black ripped skinny jeans and a pair of black-and-white Nike trainers as he landed on Georgia soil.

The Voice 2015 auditions see X Factor’s Luke Friend
Former X Factor live show finalist Luke Friend has turned up at auditions for The Voice UK.
The singer, who recently announced a record deal with RCA records, made the final of last year’s X Factor.
He was originally due to release a single in the summer and an album this autumn, but now won’t be releaising his new material until the New Year.
“It should be out in January and the album will be later. I’ll have a couple of singles out before the album,” he said earlier this year. “I’d like to thank everyone for being so patient with me.”
And the reason has apparently become clear, after the 18-year-old turned up in Manchester this week for auditions of The Voice UK 2015.

The FIX Factor? Producers accused of ‘rigging results’ by ordering Louis Walsh to change his Judges’ Houses selections
The X Factor has once again found itself at the centre of a fixing scandal after Louis Walsh seemingly couldn’t make his mind up about who to ditch and who to save on Sunday night.
Producers have been accused of ordering the music manager to pick who they wanted to see go through to the Judges’ House stage, forcing him to change his mind numerous times throughout the episode.
The 62-year-old’s chopping and changing caused so much fury amongst the audience, that many stormed out of the Six Chair Challenge at Wembley Arena.

Musical chairs: 15 things we learnt from this weekend’s horrendous X Factor Boot Camp bonanza, by Jim Shelley
The X Factor was organised chaos – cash from chaos too no doubt.
The three shows over the long weekend descended into total hysteria, until a state of out-and-out pandemonium reigned. Perhaps if the judges had actually decided on the rules beforehand and the ‘boot camps’ had featured a bit more training (or any), it would all have been more under control.
Just when we thought the hyperbole and transparent manipulation of emotions on the show couldn’t get any bigger or any worse, Simon Cowell and co. ramped it up almost to breaking point – for the audience and the contestants. With the audience baying for blood, and contestants turned mercilessly against each other, it had become a modern version of The Hunger Games, albeit The Hunger Games without the talent.

The Blub Factor…or how Cheryl just can’t hold back those (attention grabbing) tears on X Factor
Every Saturday night, we can expect the same, soggy X Factor weather forecast. A hurricane of hurt, closely followed by a tear-nado ripping across Cheryl’s carefully applied make-up, causing widespread disruption of her mascara.
Yes, there will be the occasional showers in the vicinity of Mel B. Sometimes even Louis looks a bit damp near coastal areas — and Simon certainly seems slightly overcast when he reads the latest viewing figures.
Yet the full-scale flooding alert remains in place only over Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, with further tears expected to fall on already saturated ground and the prospect of even more to come at the judges’ houses stage this weekend.

Chloe fiX revealed: Model ‘guaranteed £100K to cover modelling losses on show’
CHLOE JASMINE has allegedly secured £100,000 in earnings from The X Factor whether she wins the show or not.
It seems ITV bosses were so desperate to have the jazztastic blonde on their show, they waved a cheque in her face to guarantee it.
Daily Star Online can exclusively reveal that the professional clotheshorse almost gave up her place in the final 12 to pursue her lucrative modelling career.
For the peroxide blonde was offered a place on the family favourite while already making a healthy buck in the fashion industry.
And the 23-year-old had just landed a contract with Aveda (a hair and skincare range) worth £60K when forced to choose between instant stardom or take the deal being offered.
Needless to say, she turned down the make-up brand and other work falling at her feet.
A source told us: “After negotiations with Simon Cowell’s label SYCO, Chloe landed a guaranteed £100,000 contract to be paid in increments over the next year to cover any modelling losses.

It’s a tough climb to the top! X Factor’s Ben Selley proves he’s a knockout like cousin Harry Styles as he’s pushed to the ground by screaming fans during performance
If the enthusiasm already being shown towards Harry Styles’ cousin is anything to go by, he’s set to be a hit with fans whether or not he proves victorious on The X Factor.
Ben Selley, 20, and his Concept bandmates headed to London’s busy Leicester Square to treat fans to an impromptu performance on Friday.
But it appeared that Ben’s musical stylings – alongside bandmates Nathan Gittens, Karim Newton, Scott Dicks and Matt Goodenough – were too much to handle, with a group of screaming girls soon flocking to get their hands on the musicians.
