Tamera Foster to release debut single early 2015
After signing a record deal with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music early this year, British singer-songwriter Tamera Foster, better known as a contestant in the tenth edidtion of The X Factor UK, aired in 2013, is ready to start promoting her highly-awaited debut album.
She has been working in the studio with Chelcee Grimes, Future Cut, Mr. Hudson, Janee Bennett or Al-Hakam “Komi” El-Kaubaisy.
Grimes is responsible for co-writing Kylie Minogue’s “Million Miles“, and The Saturdays’ “Walking Through the Desert“. Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola of Future Cut are known for producing hit singles like “Black Heart” by Stooshe.
The debut album, still untitled, is scheduled to be released on digital retailers in the first quarter of 2015 via Syco Music in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.
The first official single will be released early 2015 around Foster’s Birthday on January 28th. She confirmed it on Twitter:

Even though they’re called the American Music Awards, you don’t have to be an American to get one.
British-Irish boy band One Direction nabbed three AMAs — Artist of the Year, Favorite Band/Duo/Group, Favorite Album: Pop/Rock — Sunday night in Los Angeles. 1D’s dominance shouldn’t have surprised anyone — the AMAs are fan-voted, and since Directioners are extremely active online, their victory was all but assured before the night started.
1D tied with Katy Perry for the most wins at the ABC awards show this year. She won Favorite Female Artist: Pop/Rock, Favorite Artist: Adult Contemporary and Single of the Year with “Dark Horse.”

One Direction won the artist of the year trophy at the 2014 American Music Awards during the same week in which the group’s fourth album, Four, is headed toward the top of the Billboard 200 chart with a typically massive debut. Boy bands bested pop’s leading women in the top award categories at the American Music Awards on Sunday.
British boy band One Direction won the top award of the night for artist of the year, and led the winners with three accolades in the fan-voted awards.
‘It’s amazing because we worked so hard on these last two albums,’ band member Liam Payne said.

And hours after scores of fans mobbed the heart-throbs in the terminal, another group of admirers were excitedly lining up to meet their new wax incarnations at New York City’s Madame Tussauds.

One Direction have broken their own record to become the only group to ever debut on the US Billboard top spot with their first four albums.
Their latest release, Four, went straight to number one after it was released on November 17 as did their debut effort, Up All Night, second album Take Me Home and Midnight Memories last year.
Adding to the incredible achievement, the album also hit total the top spot on iTunes in 85 countries.

One Direction Hits One Billion Plays on Spotify (But Are Still Way Behind Eminem)
One Direction has surpassed a billion streams on Spotify, joining Coldplay as only the second British band to accomplish that feat on the streaming music service. According to data provided by Spotify, the boy band reached the milestone last week upon the release of their new album Four. “We congratulate 1D on joining the very select club of artists who are true streaming superstars,” said Kevin Brown, Spotify’s head of label relations.
Spotify also pointed out that 1D is featured on 20 million playlists and that their signature hit, “Story of My Life,” is the service’s most-streamed track ever, with over 90 million plays worldwide. Over the weekend the boys dominated the American Music Awards in Los Angeles, winning three trophies including artist of the year, favorite band/duo/group and favorite pop/rock album, for 2013’s Midnight Memories.

The first to hit the ink was Harry Styles, who had an outline of a star tattooed on his inner bicep as soon as he reached 18 – and his band mates were quick to follow suit.
