X Factor Top 9 – Poll Results and Power List!

Here are the results of this week’s X Factor poll

  1. Josh Kracjik 45.49%
  2. Drew  15.13%
  3. Melanie Amaro 14.9%
  4. LeRoy Bell 5.14%
  5. Astro 5.02%
  6. Rachel Crow 4.91%
  7. Lakoda Rayne 4.45%
  8. Chris Rene 3.03%
  9. Marcus Canty 1.94%

Here’s my power list:

  1. Josh Kracjik – Uh. He could win the whole damn thing people. He’s by far the most consistent of all the contestants, and has a retro appeal popular with a demo (older viewers)  that knows how to power vote.
  2. Drew – However, this 14 year old could still take it all. But she’s got to wow with her performances in the next couple of weeks.  She’s been treading water lately.  Drew is my personal favorite.  She’s not quite ripe yet, but she’s got a ton of potential.
  3. Melanie Amaro – She stunned viewers when she broke out her authentic island accent last night. Now, if she could surprise us in the same way with her performances, she’s got a shot at the crown. She needs to stop with the diva gospel deal and break out the beats and the dance steps, like her fellow islander, Rihanna.

Everybody else is bunched up at the bottom, to be honest. But I’ll try to number everyone.

4.  LeRoy Bell –  Another dedication to mom. I wasn’t crazy about the performance, but I think it resonated with the audiences. Like Marcus at 5, you can’t go wrong dedicating a tune to mom.
5. Marcus Canty – Maybe Moms across America will vote for Marcus this week because of the lovely dedication he made to the woman who raised him right?  Too bad his performance wasn’t as lovely. Marcus was straight up terrible last night–off key, voice cracking. It was one of his worst performances of the competition.
6.  Rachel Crow –  She’s cute as a button, but vocally hit and miss.  I blame Simon mostly. He’s been making TERRIBLE song choices for her.  Rachel at 13, is too young for the competition. She should have waited a few years before trying out.
7. Chris Rene –  He slaughtered “Let it Be” last night. Boy CANNOT sing. And the reprise of “Young Homie” just came off desperate.  He could be in the bottom this week.
8. Astro – He might squeak by this week, but I really think the average American viewer is finished with his attitude.  I don’t think his raps are connecting to the viewing audience either.  He’s a talented kid, but he’s not competition reality show material
9. Lakoda Rayne – These ladies don’t belong together. Their harmonies are consistently off-pitch and they aren’t credible as country artists.  I think they’ll hit bottom this week.

What say you? How would you rate the contestants?
