Part 3 of Maddie Poppe: An American Idol Story is out now. The Disney digital series has been following winner Maddie Poppe as she navigates her post competition life. So far, the series has documented the singer reacting to her win, making the media rounds in New York City and more. Check out Part 1 of the series HERE and Part 2 HERE.
Part 3 of the documentary picks up with Maddie in the recording studio. There, she’s putting the finishing touches on an edit of her Disney night song choice “Bare Necessities.”
However, the Disney classic isn’t the only song Maddie has committed to tape. In an interview with Yahoo, Maddie mentioned recording an acoustic version of her coronation single, “Going Going Gone.” Also, during a chat with Billboard, the singer revealed that she just finished recording a “fun” original song. According to Maddie, a ukulele may be involved.
Hollywood records did not release contestant studio recordings other than the Top 3 winners songs. Would the label record a bunch of Maddie Idol favorites now for a quickie album of covers? Throw in a couple of originals, and there’s your debut…
