Maddie, who eventually went on to win the show, and runner-up Caleb were in the same Hollywood Group together. Here, they perform Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart.”

Maddie has told the story about how upon hearing Caleb sing, she deciding right there and then that she needed him for her group.

As far as romance? Caleb was smitten almost immediately, while it took Maddie a little while longer to fall in love.  Maddie writes on Twitter, “Crazy back then I had no idea how much I’d love him.”

  1. This was really good especially Maddie and Caleb and the other girl was solid too… wonder why some of the better clips of Hollywood never get released.

  2. I believe that the other girl was Kid Kraddick’s daughter and have no idea who the guy was ut everyone there other than Maddie was a southerner so I was worried but she held her own.

  4. The other guy was Will Supple. Maddie met him at her auditions in Chicago and New York. Maddie also tells the story that she forgot her lyrics at the end of her solo in the Group number, though it is not really noticeable.

  5. Will Supple got axed. The group called themselves “The Pen Caps”.
