Did you know that Usher owned 2% of the Cleveland Cavaliers? Well, now you do! Ownership has it’s privileges, including singing the National Anthem at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland OH before Game 4 of the NBA finals.
Introduced as an “esteemed member of the Cleveland Cavaliers,” Usher performed an anthem that struck a perfect balance between respect for the original melody, and adding just a tiny bit of soul and flavor to make the performance his own. VERY VERY NICE. That man can SANG.
The Cavaliers faced off against the Golden State Warriors and lost, tieing up the series 2-2. That must have been disappointing for the singer and former The Voice coach. Better luck next game!
