The Voice 8 Recap Top 10 Results Live Blog & VIDEOS

The Voice 8 Top 8 will be revealed TONIGHT. Two singers go home. But YOU can save one via the twitter insta-save. Plus, Reba performs her new single, “Goin Out Like That.” We’re live blogging the results!

No surprises tonight as far as eliminations are concerned. Rob Taylor and Deanna Johnson were sent home. Joshua Davis was the recipient of the twitter save. He raked in at least 45% of the tweets. All three singers charted at the bottom of the iTunes chart. Nearly all of you predicted the results.

Team Adam Levine only has Joshua left on his team. It’s a far cry when the coach had TWO artists–Chris Jamison and Matt McAndrew in the Top 3 last season! His season started off rough when most of the artists he vied for chose fellow coaches. NONE of the coaches stole his eliminated members during the battles. I said it before, and I’ll say it again. His team was weak sauce. Maybe the man needs a season off.

FIRST UP! Pharrell Williams and his team, Sawyer Fredericks and Koryn Hawthorne sing Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want to Be.” The team of the week, people. Koryn and Sawyer have their own Emojis! Pharrell is a lightning bolt? Oh. The art was submitted by fans, says Carson.

The rest of the Top 10 take the stage to join host, Carson Daly! TIME FOR RESULTS. America saved…from Team Pharrell…Koryn Hawthorne! America also saved…from Team Blake Shelton…Corey Kent White. Hm. I think Coey’s safety is due to the POWER OF TEAM BLAKE.

The Voice coach homecomings! Usher will be assisting Adam Levine next week. Gwen Stefani will advise both Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. If you’ll remember, Christina advised Gwen last season! Cee Lo Green (UGH) will be advising Blake Shelton. They wanted Shakira to join them, but she’s in Spain with her family.

Rob Taylor – Sitting By The Dock of the Bay – This is pretty good. Soulful, heartfelt. He should have picked a ballad that showed off his range. But it really doesn’t matter. America just isn’t buying what Rob is selling. He’s toast. I’m going to throw him a few votes. Christina calls him a “special talent.” And a guy who “sings from his heart…Give this guy his dream!”

Deanna Johnson – Help Me Make it Through the Night – She doesn’t nail this, but it’s a good song choice for her. If it were between her and Rob, she’d get the votes. Adam notes she does her best work under pressure. More blah blah blah from Blake about how she’s SOOOO nervous, always prevails, and that’s why we should save her.

Joshua Davis – “Won’t Back Down” – Well, this is literal. He’s still boring. But he’s comfortable, doing his thing with a popular song. Viewers will remember why they like him. Joshua likely has this. Adam thought it was a great song choice. He feels a special kinship with Josh. He thinks all three artists are AMAZING!
