The Voice 24 Finale Top 5 Ranked Power List – How would YOU rank the finalists?

We’re here! The Voice season 24 performance finale airs on Monday Dec 18. The winner will be crowned on Tuesday Dec. 19 at the end of a two-hour grand finale. The shows will feature guest stars and coaches duets. Check out the entire lineup HERE.

On Monday, the Top 5–Jacquie Roar, Lila Forde, Ruby Leigh, Mara Justine and Huntley–will perform two songs each. In the past few seasons, the finalists sang one uptempo song and one ballad. In a recent Instagram video, Jacquie shared that the song choices had to be made so quickly, that clearances were a problem. She noted issues clearing songs for Led Zeppelin, Celine Dion, Alannah Myles, Janis Joplin and Adele. Except for Celine and Zeppelin, whom she says are hard to clear, the issues were mostly lack of time.

Surprising semi-final results

The semi-final results last week were a little surprising Nini Iris seemed to be gaining momentum after a string of powerful performances. And Mac Royals had the R&B lane to himself, while turning in high-caliber numbers. But Jacquie Roar won the Instant Save with a show-stopping go at Heart’s “Alone.” You just know she kept that one in her back pocket!

As far as Nini is concerned, the producers had her perform for the Instant Save first. One got the feeling the show would rather not have three Niall Horan team members in the Top 5. Is Niall the new Blake Shelton, able to fill his team with winners who last until the bitter end? He might be! In the meantime, Niall still managed to get two team members in the finale. Reba McEntire has two as well. Gwen Stefani is shut out and will be watching from her chair next week.

Niall won last season with Gina Miles, and I think he’s going to win this season too. Just like Kelly Clarkson, who had back to back wins her first and second seasons she served as coach on the show.

My top 3 picks have remained the same throughout the live shows. And I’m sticking to them.

5. Jacquie Roar – Team Reba

Jacquie fought her way into the finale with a body of work that ecompasses country and rock and sometimes a mixture of both. While her big, bold vocals and stage presence earned her a spot in the finale, she still had to sing for the save in the semi-finals. She’s fifth on the list.

4. Lila Forde – Team Legend

Singer-songwriter Lila has captivated fans with her ethereal and stylish tone on sentimental favorite songs such as James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain” and Joni Mitchell’s “River.” She could be the surprise contestant in the finals, going further than favorites Mara Justine and/or Ruby Leigh. For instance, it’s possible that Team Niall and Team Reba’s votes could split between their two artists.

3. Mara Justine – Team Niall

The singing show pro has likely chosen the perfect songs for this moment and will deliver them spectacularly. She’s been consistent all season. Her big vocals, surprising song picks and confident stage presence has propelled her into the finals. Could she win The Voice? It’s possible. But I think she’ll come in third behind two stronger contestants.

2. Ruby Leigh – Team Reba

While Mara has been more confident and consistent than Ruby, the latter has a singular style that appeals to country music lovers. She’s a throwback to an earlier era and a 16 year old who can tell a credible story. At this point, she has people. There is nobody stopping her except…

1. Huntley – Team Niall

Huntley has delivered dynamic performances all season. He’s a classic rock singer who possesses powerful rangy vocals and a commanding stage presence. The singer has the charisma of a rock star. And he’s just the kind of singer that singing show fans LOVE. He’s a boomer/genX dream. I expect him to win.

The Voice performance finale airs on NBC Monday Dec. 18 at 8 pm ET/PT. The 2 hour grand finale is set for Tuesday at 9 pm ET/PT.
