I never got around to posting a recap of last Friday’s Next Great American Band. Whoops. The short of it–the bands performed Bob Dylan covers and some were more successful than others. I’ll just leave it at that.
My favorite bands so far are The Clark Brothers–all are excellent musicians. I love their gritty delivery. And, Tres Bien! I have a soft spot for retro Brit Pop.
Country band, Sixwire, seem to have it all going on. They are good musicians, write commercially viable songs and look good. I think they could take it all.

Eliminated This Week:
The Hatch – Good looking front man. However, the band has no songwriting skills. Their original song last week was a non-melodic mess.
The Likes of You – The lead singer sang with an ear-piercing falsetto. It was not pleasant. Plus he totally lacked charisma. They’ve only been together 5 months–that could be part of the problem.
