A new episode of The Amazing Race airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.
Last week Tanner and Josh were eliminated from the race, leaving only five teams competing for the $1 million prize. Which teams will get closer to the grand prize and which team will fall short? Let’s find out!
Justin and Diana open their clue and learn their new destination. They must travel to the Kachora Bazaar on a tuk-tuk. There is also another U-Turn up ahead. They’re considering U-Turning Chris and Logan, and are also determined to break the record for most first place finishes. Joey and Kelsey are the second to depart, and they note this is the third time in a row they have come in second place. They are determined to beat Justin and Diana and win. Chris and Logan are the third to depart, and Chris says that he is sick and has been vomiting. He hopes he and Logan are not U-Turned.
Justin and Diana arrive at the Roadblock. One team member must blow up balloons, fill them in a net, and deliver them to a wedding planner by bicycle. Justin does the Roadblock.
Tiffany and Krista begin the leg. They believe they can win, and all that matters is winning the last leg. Meanwhile, Joey and Kelsey and Logan and Chris arrive at the Roadblock; Joey and Logan do the Roadblock. Justin talks to Joey about the U-Turn and brings up the idea of U-Turning Denise and James Earl or Chris and Logan. Joey seems to agree with him as Denise and James Earl finally begin the leg.
Justin is the first to fill up his balloons. While he bikes to deliver them, Diana gives washable tattoos to the kids crowded around the Roadblock area. Meanwhile, Chris and Logan are bickering once again. Logan says Chris is always stressed out. Justin completes the Detour and can now make his way to a bookstore with Diana. Joey finishes filling his net with the balloons and begins biking his way to the wedding planner to deliver them.
Tiffany and Krista finally arrive at the Roadblock, and Tiffany does the task for them. Logan’s balloons are popping, but she manages to deliver her balloons. She and Chris are now in third place as Denise and James Earl are the last to arrive at the Roadblock. James Earl does the Roadblock for them.
Justin and Diana arrive at the U-Turn board. Justin and Diana decide to U-Turn Logan and Chris. Now they have a Detour to complete: Bring the Groom or Bring the Fun. Bring the Groom requires teams to march down a procession and deliver a groom to his bride. Bring the Fun requires teams to march down the streets with carnival ride equipment. Once they deliver the ride, they must have eight kids ride on it to receive their next clue. Justin and Diana choose to Bring the Fun. Joey and Kelsey choose to Bring the Groom.
Tiffany is done filling her net with the balloons, and she delivers her balloons. On the ride, someone runs into her net and several of her balloons pop. However, she is still able to receive the next clue when she delivers them to the wedding planner. She and Krista can now make their way to the bookstore where the U-Turn board and the clue box awaits.
Joey starts the generator, and he and Kelsey begin marching through the procession. Joey helps lead the generator while Kelsey carries a candelabra on her shoulder. Meanwhile, Chris and Logan learn they have been U-Turned. They are angry as they begin their first Detour (Bring the Fun). While they get started on that, James Earl delivers his balloons.
Tiffany and Krista arrive at the U-Turn board and are surprised to see Logan and Chris have been U-Turned. They choose the Bring the Groom Detour. Meanwhile, Justin and Diana have delivered the carnival ride equipment and are done with their U-Turn. They can now go to the Pit Stop, which is at the party they currently are. They find Phil and land on the Pit Stop. Phil inform Justin and Diana they are Team #1. They each win $5,000. They now have seven first place finishes. Afterwards, Joey and Kelsey deliver the groom and find Phil just minutes after Justin and Diana. Joey and Kelsey are Team #2.
Denise and James Earl decide to do the Bring the Groom Detour just as Logan and Chris have finished the Bring the Fun Detour. Tiffany and Krista finally begin the Bring the Groom Detour, but are struggling with starting the generator. They finally start it and begin marching in the wedding procession. However, Logan and Chris and Denise and James Earl are right behind them.
Tiffany and Krista are the first of these three teams to deliver the groom and are Team #3. Just minutes later, Logan and Chris arrive and are Team #4. While these two teams are still at the Pit Stop talking to Phil, Denise and James Earl have finished the Detour too and arrive at the Pit Stop last. It was a close finish with these three teams being at the Pit Stop simultaneously, but Denise and James Earl have been eliminated from the race. They handle the news of their elimination well and say that the race has brought them closer together.
