Update:
Ryan Seacrest lost in his category, Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program, to Jeff Probst, AGAIN. Grr. Ryan the clusterf*ck that is Idol from completely falling apart every week. I was rooting for him to win. If not Ryan, then the hilarious Tom Bergeron of Dancing with the Stars.
To add insult to injury, the man responsible for keeping Ryan Seacrest jumping through hoops every week, director Bruce Gowers WON AN EMMY!!!??!!! WTF?
Idol was a technical disaster last year, between show overruns, dead air, bad shots, you name it. Bruce Gowers won in the Outstanding Directing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Series category. Ridiculous!
And as it does every year, American Idol lost in the Outstanding Reality – Competition Program to The Amazing Race…

The Emmy awards are tonight!

American Idol is up for two awards that will be handed out tonight (Check out their wins from last week’s Creative Arts Emmys HERE) Outstanding Reality – Competition Program, and Ryan Seacrest is up for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.
