Survivor 35 Heroes Healers & Hustlers Week 6 Recap and Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

The Soko tribe returns to camp after tribal council, and Ali confronts Ryan about the vote. Ali thought Ryan was going to vote against Chrissy like she and Roark did, but Ryan lied to her and voted Roark out with Chrissy and JP. Ryan tells Ali that she was getting too close to Roark, but Ali points out that she only knew Roark for four days, whereas she and Ryan have been voting together since the beginning. In a confessional, Chrissy is happy because this means Ryan believes he can get further in the game with her than he can with Ali. Ali repeatedly tells Ryan that he should’ve told her the truth. We next see confessionals from both Ali and Ryan. Ali is in tears as she feels like she has been betrayed by her closest ally; Ryan thinks it’s time for Ali to be voted out next.

At the Yawa tribe, Mike is having success providing for his tribe. He catches a small fish, but he accidentally drops it in the fire to the amusement of his other tribe members. Ben also points out how Mike shared a small fish with everyone, but Cole eats a bigger fish all for himself. After talk about the rice and when to eat, Cole and Lauren get into a heated exchange. She wants to conserve food, but Cole is hungry and says he needs a bigger serving. Lauren says they can’t just cook for Cole because he’s hungrier than everyone else. After Cole and Jessica go to the beach, Lauren and Ben try to talk Mike into flipping to their side. Lauren says Cole is digging his own grave.

It’s time for the reward challenge. They must go through an obstacle course and transfer buoys over a balance beam with poles. Afterwards, they must go into the ocean and get into a boat and pull ropes to get to a platform. At the platform, they must hit two targets with a slingshot. The tribe that wins will win ten pizzas and soft drinks. The tribe that finishes the challenge second will win one pizza for the tribe. The challenge begins, and JP and Ali get an early lead for Soko. However, Yawa catches up after Soko forgets to untie one of the knots on their ropes. Levu is still struggling with the balance beam as the other two tribes are at the platforms. However, Levu catches up as neither Soko nor Yawa has hit a target. However, JP and Ben knock down a target for Soko and Yawa respectively. JP knocks down the last target. Soko wins reward! Afterwards, Yawa knocks down the next target. Yawa wins reward! We hear a confessional from JP before the commercial break. He points out how Soko needs him for the challenges, and he believes that is putting him in a good position with the tribe at the moment.

The Soko tribe members enjoy their pizza reward. They give JP kudos on a great performance in the challenge, but Ryan is intimidated by JP. In a confessional, Ryan says JP’s prowess in the challenges is making him a target with a merge looming soon. Meanwhile, on the Levu tribe, Ashley and Devon are hoping to avoid going to rocks by getting Desi to flip to their side. Ashley asks Desi if she would be willing to vote out Joe, and she says she would be on board with that. She even admits she’d consider voting Joe out if Levu were to lose the next immunity challenge. However, Joe stumbles upon the clue for the hidden immunity idol without anyone noticing. Later that night, Joe finds the hidden immunity idol.

At the Yawa tribe, Cole gets lightheaded and passes out. It gets the other tribe members scared, and Jessica points out how Cole needs more food. This also makes Jessica realize she doesn’t want to play this game without Cole. Mike, however, feels like Cole has become a liability. He thinks they will need to get rid of him sooner rather than later. Ben says Cole sealed his fate by passing out. If they were to lose immunity, Ben, Mike, and Lauren will vote Cole out of the game.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They must each hold onto a rope balancing a disc. Atop the disc, they must walk forward and place blocks with a letter on them and spell out the word “immunity.” The first two tribes to finish will win immunity. The challenge begins, and it’s fairly even until all of Soko’s blocks collapses. They must start over. However, Levu drops their blocks next right before Soko drops again. Yawa has a huge lead at the moment with only one block left to place. Cole places the last block for Yawa, but the blocks topple over seconds later before Cole can return to the end of his platform. Yawa must now start over too. As Yawa starts over, Soko and Levu are all placing the seventh letter on their block tower. Eventually it becomes very close between all three tribes when they all place the last letter on their tower. However, Soko’s tower collapses before JP can go back to the end of his platform. Yawa and Levu win immunity! Soko will go to tribal council tonight.

The Soko tribe returns to camp, and JP is confident that Ali will be voted out tonight. However, Ryan wants JP gone, so he goes to make up with Ali. He apologizes, and they agree JP is whom they should vote out. Ali goes to talk game with Chrissy, even though she doesn’t feel like she can trust Ryan going forward. As Chrissy and Ali talk game, Chrissy admits that she doesn’t think they need to keep the tribe strong since the merge will come soon. In a confessional, Chrissy admits she doesn’t feel like she can trust Ali, but she wants to be on the same page as Ryan.

At tribal council, Jeff asks Ryan about the reaction after the last tribal council. Ryan admits that Ali was mad at him, and Ali says that Ryan should’ve told him the true plan. However, she says they’ve moved on and it’s under the rug now. After talk of an upcoming merge, Jeff points out how stronger guys are targeted at the merge. He asks JP his thoughts. JP agrees, and he says it’s all about what’s best moving forward. Jeff points out how JP didn’t really answer the question; he gave a vague answer instead. The talk turns to how JP plays a quiet game and how they don’t know what he is thinking a lot of the times. Jeff points out how JP is still very stoic about all this discussion about him, and JP says he probably should’ve approached the game differently if it is him getting voted out tonight. JP says this is a good wake up call for him. Afterwards, it is time to vote.

Jeff reads the votes. The first vote is for…

Ali

JP

Ali

Ali
