Survivor 32 Khao Rong wrapped up on Wednesday (5/18) with a 3 hour finale crowning the sole survivor. Click to check out our full recap with polls.
Now, it’s time to look ahead to the next seasons of Survivor. Before host Jeff Probst signed off Wednesday night, he teased season 33 set to air next fall. Filmed in Fiji, the series will be a battle of generations pitting Millennials vs Gen X.
The Millennial cohort spans the years roughly from early 1980s to around 2000, while the elder group Gen X begins at early/mid 1960s to the early 1980s. Judging by the promo, you can expect the usual stereotypes: Grumpy technophobe elders recalling tales of hardship, while screaming at kids to get the hell off their lawns vs immature entitled brats still tethered to parents who indulge them with never-ending praise. Gosh those damn Baby Boomers just spoiled them rotten! Heh. In any case, the distinctions tend to fall away once the competition gets going.
The Inside Survivor spoiler site has the cast list if you wanna know before the official announcement is made in a few months. Click for Spoilers. Production hit a few challenges when a cyclone hit the Fiji Islands in February, which delayed filming for about a month. The last time Survivor filmed in Fiji was 2006.
Season 34 is also set for Fiji and will feature a cast of returnees, selected by the network. Filming is scheduled to begin soon. Click for a list of former players who participated in a final casting call. The spoiled cast list hasn’t been finalized yet. We’ll keep you updated.
