Brian Mansfield, the new Idol Chatter blogger, has uncovered the identity of the first girl. Alexea Lawson is on JoesPlace list of Hollywood contestants, sans any detail.

If you want to hear music from Lawson — and she’s got quite a voice — try this imeem page and this page from a pianist with whom she’s performed in the past. Lawson has two MySpace pages, one with her music and one without. And if you watched What Would You Do? on ABC Tuesday night, you might’ve seen her without knowing (I didn’t see it, and I don’t know where she was in the show).
She probably doesn’t go farther than Hollywood, as Brian points out in his post, Lexi has taken the Mimi Marquez role in the national touring company of Rent, which started yesterday in Cleveland, Ohio. Check out this video, she’s interviewed mid-way through.
