Simon Cowell dished about Britney Spears and his impending fatherhood in a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres. The interview will air on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Tuesday.
On Britney Spears short stint as an X Factor judge, Simon said, “There was a time where everybody was trying to up themselves in terms of who could find the biggest known star to be on a panel.”
“She was fine,” Simon said of Britney, “I just think she found it very uncomfortable.”
“I kind of booked someone who couldn’t talk,” admitted Simon. “Which is a bit of a problem…so we decided to change it this year.”
On fatherhood, Simon said, “I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
“I can’t blame the press…it was kind of a juicy story,” said Simon, but he wants to clear up the negative stuff. “She’s a great girl,” and NOT a gold digger. Ellen tried hard to get the gender scoop, but Simon wouldn’t budge. Ellen presented some adorable mini-mi outfits for Simon’s “son.”
