Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery talked to Yahoo Music backstage at the Opry last night after they both performed on the big stage for the first time.
When the subject of their post-Idol debut albums came up. Scotty and Lauren were both very hush hush on song titles, but did manage to reveal a few juicy tidbits.
Scotty’s assembled band laid down 5 tracks with Carrie Underwood producer, Mark Bright, on Thursday, although Scotty won’t be adding his vocals to them until later. He’ll fly in and out of Nashville over the summer while on the Idol tour to work on his debut.
Lauren would only say that she expects to collaborate with several producers on her album. She got four “basic tracks” recorded Thursday. Among the songwriters whose work she’ll be recording is Carrie Underwood! “She ran out of space on her album [for that song] is what they told me!” says an excited Lauren.
Apparently, Scotty and Lauren are on super-duper info clampdown after Scotty’s “Out of Summertime” leaked onto the net last week. OOPS. “They are being really strict on me about that, ” says Scotty.
