Rihanna Drops “Bitch Better Have My Money” Music Video

Imma gonna post a big honking warning up front. To say that Rihanna’s new “Bitch Better Have My Money” is not safe for work is an understatement. Warnings for violence, nudity, drug taking and torture.

I’m posting this here, because the video, which Rihanna dropped late Wednesday night is going to smash Vevo records and be the talk of the internets.

The seven-minute clip, which aired exclusively on Tidal and Vevo, was co-directed by Rihanna and Megaforce. She wrote on Instagram, “The concept for this piece came to me 8 months ago!!! So you can imagine how anxious I am right now!!!” Reportedly the idea was inspired by the accountant who mismanaged her money a few years ago.

In the Tarantino-esque mini-movie, Rihanna and her female henchmen kidnap a high-class lady and her pomeranian out of an elevator, stuff her into a trunk, and take her on a “road trip,” which includes hanging her upside down, half naked in an elevator, forcing drugs on her and other lovely scenes.

In the end, RiRi and her girls bring her back, and we learn that it’s an act of revenge on her accountant husband, who’s the one who actually ripped her off. The fate he meets is much worse than the ordeal his wife went through. You know, all the dudes who wack off to torture porn are going to be hitting that replay button over and over again.

So yeah. The film is beautifully shot and edited (nice first-time directing by Rihanna) but I still actively hated this video. Just plain old nudity isn’t going to rack up those Vevo hits anymore. Gotta keep pushing those boundaries. What’s next? Snuff films?

Oh. And “Bitch Better Have My Money” is a sh*t song. So there’s that.

AGAIN. Watch at your own risk. I had to use my “No adsense” sidebar so that Google didn’t cancel my advertising account.
