There’s a rumor that Jennifer Hudson will be taping along with Ruben Studdard on Wednesday. Plus, Stevie Wonder and Joss Stone will also be appearing on Idol.

The second taping on Wednesday is the LIVE performance show with special performances by Jennifer Hudson and Ruben Studdard. On Thursday we are taping the LIVE results show featuring special performances by Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson and Joss Stone!
ETA: I’m hearing several reports about this email, the rumor appears to be true…
The American Idol official site says Ruben and Smokey Robinson will perform on Thursday–no mention of Jennifer Hudson or anyone else… Jennifer is probably taping her appearance ahead of time like David Cook, who taped his appearance this past Wednesday to be aired April 1.
The Top 10 (sans Michael Sarver and Megan Corkrey, both remaining in LA to nurse illnesses) spent Thursday taping a segment at the Motown museum in Detroit with Berry Gordy Jr. and Smokey Robinson.
Wednesday’s performance show features the kids singing Motown tunes.
