Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Sep 26-Oct 2

The first winner, the latest winner and the most successful non-winner all have milestones this week.

Kelly Clarkson, American Idol winner from Season 1, has achieved top 20 in Pop. “Mr. Know It All” is currently sitting at 18th and that means the song is in the top 20 in three formats. This is the lead-off single for her fifth album.

The next lead-off single making waves is Daughtry’s “Crawling Back To You”. This song is tearing up the charts and made it top top 20 on HAC and top 40 on AC this week. The song went top 50 on AC last week, but did not meet the threshold number of spins to appear on the chart so that we could see it. This is the lead-off single to their third album.

The third milestone achieving song this week is also a debut single. Scotty’s “The Trouble With Girls” reaches top 40 on Country the week his debut album “Clear as Day” is hitting the stores. This is his second song to go at least top 40 in that format (the other being his coronation song).
