Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Oct 3-9

Our milestones this week feature 1 from Season 1 and a total of 4 from Season 5.

Daughtry is making a splash all over the charts. The band features (and is named after) the 4th place finisher from Season 5. Both of their lead-off singles from their third albums made milestones. “Crawling Back To You” achieved top 15 on HAC and top 30 on AC. Their other single, “Renegade” made top 20 on Mainstream Rock.

Also from Season 5, is Mandisa who finished 9th that year. She’s carved quite a career for herself on the Christian format and her second single from her third full-length album has achieved top 20 in that format. Her last single went to number 1.

Finally, every week brings us another milestone from Season 1 winner, Kelly Clarkson. This week she achieved top 15 on AC. She is top 10, top 15 and top 20 in HAC, AC and Pop respectively with the lead-off single to her fifth album.
