Monday Morning Mediabase Update – May 17 – May 23

Carrie Underwood’s new single, “Undo It”, goes for adds this week, but Country music was not prepared to wait. The song has already been added on 120 stations and reached a new milestone of top 20 on Country. I would be stunned if this song doesn’t make it to the top 5 in this format (and it will likely go to number 1). Rumours are floating around that Carrie will be performing this song on the Idol finale this week.

Also reaching a milestone this week is Adam’s WWFM. The song still has legs and has just gone top 10 on AC. That song is currently top 10 in two formats. His new single, “If I Had You” continues to march up the Pop chart and will likely be in the top 50 within a week or two.

Over on Urban, Fantasia’s “Bittersweet” goes to top 40 as does Kris Allen’s “The Truth” over on HAC. Kris has two songs in the top 40 on HAC (LLWD is in the top 10) and is confirmed to be performing on Idol this week. Fantasia song is in the top 40 on two formats (Urban and UAC). Finally, Carly’s band’s (We Are the Fallen) single, “Bury Me Alive” goes top 30 which is the band’s first top 30.
