Three milestones this week on the Monday Morning Mediabase Report.
X-Factor kicks us off with the Judge/Contestant team of Demi Lovato (US) and Cher Lloyd (UK). Their collaboration “Really Don’t Care” moves into the competitive top 15 of Pop. Speaking of Judge/Contestant teams, I’ve been remiss in reporting on Voice team of Blake Shelton and Gwen Sebastian. They hit the top of the Country chart last week with “My Eyes”.
Speaking of The Voice and Country, The Swon Brothers were also on Blake’s team and got their own unaffiliated contract with Arista. Zach and Colton Swon’s debut single “Later On” has been steaming up the Country chart and is now in the top 20.
Speaking of Colton, Colton Dixon of American Idol has his debut single for his second album chugging up the charts. “More Of You” moved into the top of the CAC chart this week.
