Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Dec 26-Jan 1

With Christmas over, it’s nice to see the charts full of bullets. It looks like songs are blowing up all over the place, but it’s just them regaining their spins. Kelly Clarkson’s “Mr. Know It All” continues to top the Hot AC chart to which Javier’s “As Long As We Got Love” returned.

The Christmas songs have tumbled of the AC chart, but that means that Kelly’s duet with Jason has climbed back into the top 10 (up 14 spots) while her “Mr. Know It All” continues its climb towards top 10.

The biggest jump of the week is Mandisa over on CAC. That chart was decimated by Christmas songs and her recent single fell from a high of 11 right off the chart. This week, “Waiting for Tomorrow” zoomed from 70th last week to a new high (and milestone) of 10 this week. This is the second single from her current album to hit top 10 in the format (her first single went to number 1).

Also reaching a new milestone this week is Jennifer Hudson. Her “I Got This” has gotten to top 20 on the UAC format. She’s quite reliable on getting her songs to top 10 on that chart.
