Monday Morning Mediabase 11/13/2017

Nine Mediabase Milestones to note this Monday Morning.

Camila Cabello is tearing up the charts with “Havana”. It’s currently the number one single on the iTunes download chart. She performed it to great acclaim on the EMAs – rated as the best performance by Billboard. This week it hits three milestones. It goes top 5 on Pop, top 15 on Rhythmic and top 20 on HAC. “Havana” is now billed as the debut single for her upcoming album and it is a much better idea than trying to sound like Sia.

Also hitting multiple milestones and also from an X-Factor band is Harry Styles. His third single is called “Kiwi” (please don’t throw them at him when he’s singing – tripping hazard) for which he released a video last week featuring food fights and puppies. “Kiwi” went top 40 on Pop and debuted on the HAC chart this week. He’s not the only former 1Der with a milestone this week as there were two more milestones. Liam Payne’s second single “Bedroom Floor” also went top 40 on Pop while his first single is still in the top 10. Niall Horan is working his third single “Too Much to Ask” which went top 30 on HAC. His previous single is still top 5 in the format (and “Too Much to Ask” is also top 30 on Pop).

Two Idol winners also get milestones this week. Kelly Clarkson’s “Love So Soft” achieves top 20 on Pop. The debut single from her latest album is also top 10 on HAC and top 15 on AC. Phillip Phillips debut single from his upcoming album achieves top 15 on HAC while also being in the top 30 on AAA.

Billboard confirms that Sam Smith may not be lucky in love, but he can sell a hit album as he tops the BB200 this week. Maroon 5, featuring Voice Coach Adam Levine, has the second best selling album of the week. As with the chart topper for the past several weeks, these albums were bundled with ticket sales. Blake Shelton, the winningest Voice Coach, is 4th with “Texoma Shore”
