Monday Morning Mediabase 11/06/2017

Eight milestones and a new album to celebrate this week in the Monday Mediabase Report.

Kelly Clarkson released her 8th studio album last week and her 8th album to hit the top 10 on the BB200. “Meaning of Life” debuted at second with 79K in equivalent albums and 68K in sales. The lead-off single from that album “Love So Soft” hits a milestone this week as it goes top 10 on HAC. The song is also top 15 on AC and top 30 on Pop.

The Christmas season as upon us as the Christmas songs start appearing on the AC chart. Kelly Clarkson earns a milestone as her “Christmas Eve” debuts on AC in the top 30. Right behind her is Pentatonix with “Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”

Camila Cabello also achieves two milestones. She’s now claiming “Havana” as her debut single and the track went top 10 on Pop and top 20 on Rhythmic. “Crying in the Club” is now some sort of teaser single.

Sticking with X-Factor, two milestones are racked up from the 1D lads on Pop. Niall Horan’s third single “Too Much To Ask” goes top 30 on Pop while Harry’s third single “Kiwi” enters the chart in the top 50. Apparently, fans have developed a bad habit of throwing kiwis on stage during his concerts which is a tripping hazard.

Mandisa from season 5 of Idol goes top 20 on CAC with “Bleed the Same”.

From Survivor, we have Chase Rice. His “Three Chords & the Truth” achieves top 40 status on Country radio.

Lindsey Stirling’s “Love’s Just a Feeling” returns to the top 30 on AC.

Billboard reports that Kenny Chesney has earned his 8th number one album with “Live in No Shoes Nation”. It’s the first live album to top the chart since the “Hope for Haiti Now” charity album in 2010. Of the 217K in sales, 197K were Internet sales many of which would have been ticket bundle redemptions.
