Nine milestones this week on the radio for our reality singing show competition alumni.
Chase Rice rose to fame on Survivor before becoming a staple on Country radio. This week, he sees his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line go to the top of the Country chart. “Drinkin’ Beer Talkin’ God Amen” is a title that may make the grammarian’s cringe, but it’s number one.
Season 10 Idol winner Scotty McCreery also achieves a milestone on Country. His latest single “You Time” enters the top 10 this week. It is the debut single from his upcoming album “Same Truck”.
Carrie Underwood won Season 4 of Idol and is featured on NeedtoBreathe’s “I Wanna Remember”. The song debuts on AC.
Gabby Barrett came in third in the rebooted first season of Idol. Her second single “The Good Ones” went to number one on Country in the past and is now top 30 on AC.
Camila Cabello’s achieved two milestones with “Don’t Go Yet” last week and does the same this week. The song goes top 30 on HAC and top 20 on Pop. Her former Fifth Harmony band member Normani achieves two milestones as well. “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B goes top 30 on both Pop and Rhythmic.
Finally, we have The Voice’s Duncan Laurence’s Eurovision song “Arcade” has gone top 10 on HAC.
Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is number 4 this week on the BB200 with 44K in equivalent album in sales (+1% from last week when it was number 5).
