Glee star, Lea Michele, dropped by the Late Show with David Letterman to promote her new book, “Brunette Ambition.” She also dished a little about what we can expect from Season 6 of the musical comedy and she speaks out on backstage drama between herself and co-star, Naya Rivera!

“Ryan has a great idea for next season,” Lea shares. “I’m going to be doing something very different than I’ve ever done on the show before.”

When Dave presses her for details, all she’s willing to say is, “She’s going to have a different role. She’s going to be in a location you’ve seen her in before, but doing something different.”

Could she be back in Lima (location we’ve seen her before) but as the “new Mr. Shue” for New Directions? (different role)?

I’m not speculating. I heard this from a source as a possible storyline being considered by the producers for Season 6.

Anyway. Dave asked her about “some sort of a fistfight” on set. He was referring to the stories about backstage drama between herself and Naya Rivera. “It’s really unbelievable the amount of things that can be completely made up. It’s really frustrating,” said Lea.

“I think the way that people like to pit women against each other…it’s really annoying. It’s really sad.”

I agree with you 100% Lea. The press just eats that stuff up. Still, it doesn’t mean there weren’t issues between you and Naya on set the night she was dismissed. In any case. Denying problems stops speculation and gossip. I can’t really blame her for dismissing it.

To diffuse the question, she turns her answer into a joke. “If there were really a cat fight on the show, you’d know about it. Because I’d get a ring, and I’d put jello in it, and I’d make it fun for everyone, and it would be super hot.”

Ryan Murphy should consider that for Glee. It actually might help the ratings.

Lea also shared stories about faking her way through Broadway auditions and her experiences on her high school debate team…
