Poor Cheno! Kristin Chenoweth has dropped out of her recurring role on The Good Wife due to an injury she sustained on set last month. Via
“It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time,” Chenoweth tells PEOPLE in a statement Monday. “[I’m] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern.” The actress will, however, appear on the season 4 premiere on Sept. 30 (9 p.m. ET).
Kristin was injured by a piece of falling lighting equipment while on the Brooklyn set of the show on July 11. She spent a night in the hospital, but it looks like she’s been recovering slowly. On August 8 she tweeted, “Today not best “pain” day. Remaining positive. (I think).”
But she may return to the show, as she assured a fan on twitter today, ” I love The Good Wife and will be back when i can. :)”
Kristin was a guest judge on American Idol during Season 9 and made several guest appearances on Glee season 1 and 2 as the boozy April Rhodes.
