I am happy (and relieved) to report that Kris Allen–strumming along on a ukulele–covers this 60’s classic BEAUTIFULLY.
Wisely, Kris enlists band members to sing backup harmonies. Cuz you’ve GOT TO HAVE HARMONIES if you even hope to do a Beach Boys song any justice.
The result is a sweet take from the Season 8 American Idol winner that is faithful enough to pay homage, while adding that Allen twist we all know and love.
