Kelly Clarkson dropped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Kimmel to chat about the upcoming season of The Voice and her new talk show, set to premiere next fall.

Kelly’s daughter River Rose has a crush on Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin.  The singer describes how her four year old can’t grasp that the Chris Martin in the “Yellow” video is much older now.  “Did I just insult Chris Martin?” Kelly worries.

Kelly announces her new talk show because she can’t keep a secret. Heh. She also talks about winning the Voice her first season on the show with Brynn Cartelli. Brynn and Kelsea Ballerini are openers on Kelly’s upcoming tour.  On the road, the trio will perform live segments for folks who can’t make the concerts.

“She’s so great,” Kelly says of Jennifer Hudson her fellow season 15 coach. In a little clip from the new season, premiering Monday September 24, Kelly gets mad when coach Blake Shelton hits the button for a singer that she wants.

Just for fun, Kelly and Queen Latifah have Jimmy loop their voices together on an iPad app to form a three-person doo-wop group to sing The Penguins classic “Earth Angel.”
