According to sources revealed to several mainstream publications, Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 will be headlining the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime show. While special guest appearances for the performance have not yet been finalized, Cardi B and Travis Scott are on the short list, according to Billboard.

Representatives from both the NFL and the band have not responded. Maroon 5’s recent single “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Playing the Super Bowl halftime show has long been a goal of The Voice coach. Adam told Howard Stern in a 2015 interview that the band “very actively wants to play the Super Bowl.”

The 2012 Super Bowl LIII will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Falcons and will air on the CBS network.

In the meantime, Adam will be back coaching The Voice. Season 15 premieres on NBC Monday September 24.
