After the jump, check out a few videos of her performances, including “Miss Independent”, “Walk Away”, Behind These Hazel Eyes” and “My Life Would Suck Without You”.

The first video is an edited version of the entire 30 minute show and is EXCELLENT quality.  The rest have great video, but with distorted bass, so listen at your own risk!  Kells looks and sounds great, I think.

  1. Nice performance by Kelly. She’s looking and sounding really good!

  2. I love this girl. She ALWAYS sounds great and I like her look here, it fits her well.

  3. Awesome! Thanks for posting! I love Kelly…she’s so freakin adorable! I don’t think I’ve ever heard her sound bad either. Her voice is amazing. Nothing like the original Idol.

  4. I love Kelly. And because I think of her as a true star, am I the only one who finds it kind of sad she played a mall (albeit one of the world’s largest Malls) to celebrate the opening of a MS store? I hope they payed her 100k for this gig. Lucky Twin Cities fans!

If I’am a singer and Microsoft hired me to sing somewhere and paid me handsomely, I’ll go. And it is an honest job, singing. No shame at all. And she got lots of people and some who might not be her fans and checked her out for free.

  6. It would only be sad if she did it for free. This is a typical corporate gig. I would guess she was paid more then 100k for this performance.

  7. What’s wrong with singing at the mall? Sometimes I really don’t understand what’s got to people’s mind. These artists are human just like ordinary people, you and me, and they can do whatever they want to do regardless of money. Are you saying that she should sing only in arenas or famous award shows? Some singers sing in nursing homes for free. What’s wrong with that?

  8. I don’t get this criticism of where folk sing. Elton John sang recently at a freaking wedding. Of course it was Rush Limbaugh’s wedding, but a wedding yet the same. And you should bet your bottom dollar neither performed for chicken feed. We are not talking about 200 buck and all the hotwings you can eat! This is freaking Microsoft we are talking here, not Bob’s Wash, Dry n Fold!

Anyway, she sounded incredible, and looked hot. I love Kelly. My favorite girl idol!

  9. I imagine some people would have issues with her singing at a mall because of the stigma of singing at a mall. It reminds people of all the young teen stars like Debbie Gibson who started out singing at malls. I don’t personally get the big deal. Like someone already said it was probably a very well paid gig and she got paid for what she does for a living. I like the example of the wedding. It is not really any different then when singers get paid a lot of money to perform at weddings or birthday parties.

  10. I’m guessing that she took this gig because she’s not touring at the moment…and is missing the road. It gave her fans in MN (where she cancelled a show last year) a chance to see her, not to mention she got to spend time with her band. But she did sound amazing and needs to put out new tunes!
