Kellie Pickler To Release NEW Song ‘Someone Somewhere Tonight’ (CLIP & Cover Art)!

Season 5 Idol finalist, current Dancing With The Stars frontrunner, and country star Kellie Pickler is prepping her fourth album, her first to be released by her new label, Black River Entertainment. And it looks like she will be releasing a new song a week before the Dancing With The Stars season finale!

The song is called “Someone Somewhere Tonight,” and it is a lovely ballad that stays true to Kellie’s traditional country calling that’s cowritten by Davis Raines and Walt Wilkins.

Check out a 30 second preview clip from Amazon HERE.

2013 Country Music Hall Of Fame inductee Kenny Rogers previously recorded “Someone Somewhere Tonight” for his 2006 album Water & Bridges. Check out his version here:

Edit: Thanks ctryfan1980 for this factoid: Pam Tillis also recorded the song for her 2007 Rhinestoned album. Here she is performing the song live:

Black River Entertainment promo reps have, as of yesterday, started making the rounds previewing a new Kellie single to country radio. Kellie had previously teased that she was hoping to get a new single out during the current DWTS season and if not, she would release the single very shortly after. Well, it’s looking like all systems are go!

Back during Country Radio Seminar 2013 (on March 1), Kellie performed 2 songs at the Black River Entertainment luncheon/showcase: “Ring For Sale” (cowritten by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton) and “Tough All Over” (cowritten by Gary Nicholson and Leslie Satcher). Kellie is also listed as a performer of a song called “Little Bit Gypsy,” cowritten by her husband Kyle Jacobs, Tammi Hutton and Fred Wilhelm.

Think we’ll see Kellie and her DWTS partner Derek Hough perform a beautiful waltz to this new song? And/or might we see Kellie return to her former and still nearby stomping grounds at American Idol to perform the song?
