Katharine McPhee will finally make her debut in the highly anticipated musical drama Smash when it airs on NBC Monday Feb. 6 at 10 pm.
In the new 60s teaser, Katharine performs a Ryan Tedder original called “Touch”. Scenes of Kat from the show are cut into a video of a glammed up Katharine singing a dance tune you won’t likely find on the Broadway stage. The tune is a little cheesy, even for Tedder.
The music on Smash–which is about a group of artists mounting a Broadway show about Marilyn Monroe–will feature both covers and original tunes every week. Katharine plays a fresh, young ingenue who goes after the lead role.
