Jessica Sanchez confirmed on twitter that she’s signed to Interscope records!
Yesterday, a fan asked her on twitter, if the American Idol runner-up was signed. Jessica answered, “Yup. Interscope :)”
And today, Jessica tweeted, “At the stuuuuudio recording some amazing tracks for the upcoming album ;)
All we need now are the official announcements! But Phillip’s announcement will come first. Although album release dates can vary, in the actual label SIGNING announcements, the Idol winner always releases a press release first.
At last week’s Idol tour press conference, Jessica confirmed that she is working on an album and a tentative release date as “probably sometime in October.”
Although Jessica won’t be singing any original songs on tour, her set list will reflect the urban vibe she hopes to create on her album. So DON’T expect to hear her ballady Idol coronation song when she hits the stage!
She promises the album will be quite different from the “competition” songs Jimmy Iovine advised her to sing on Idol…
