Jennifer Lopez dropped by the Late Show with David Letterman to promote her new book. Yes, Jlo has a book, titled, True Love, out this week.
The singer had other things on her mind, too, including her current job as judge on American Idol.
“I love it, it’s a great musical journey,” Jennifer said of her stint as judge on Idol “We get to talk about music and we get to hopefully find a new superstar, and that’s always exciting,”
“See, I look at it just the opposite,” Dave said. “I feel we have too many superstars. I really think we do.”
“I don’t think we have enough!” insisted Jennifer. “I think we need more.” Dave disagreed, “We don’t need more superstars.”
Also, the singer is under the impression that Idol is still a number one show. When Dave asked if people still watch Idol, Jennifer enthused, “Yes! They do! By the way, still the number one show.”
“Is that right?” said Dave, NOT challenging her. Or maybe Jlo thinks, just like Dave, viewers take her at her word.
On the rumor that the singer will soon be headlining a residency at Planet Hollywood’s Axis Theater in Las Vegas, the singer stayed mum. “When I have something to announce, I’ll let you know first,” Jennifer promised.
Squeezing as much promotion out of the appearance as possible, Jennifer spritzed Dave with a few of her fragrances. Geez, I had no idea Jennifer’s line had so many products. Dave is especially hilarious in this segment.
