James Durbin Tweets Album Deets: “A badass mix of everything”

American Idol Season 10 alum, James Durbin, took a few minutes out of his busy day of meet and greets and press interviews prior to the Top 11 Idols Live show in Albany tonight to chat with fans on twitter about his upcoming album.

It hasn’t been announced officially yet, but all evidence points to a deal with Wind Up Records for James, who chatted about what we can expect on his album (he has said in interviews that he hopes to release in November) and subsequent touring plans.

In response to what sort rock mix we can expect from his album, James said it will be “a badass mix of everything”, including hard rock, metal and mainstream rock.

James expects to be touring  early next year but said he doesn’t want to headline.  He would love to open for KISS or Avenged Sevenfold as it will be “more memorable”.

“You can always count on the live experience to be heavier than the record, ” says James.

The tunes on the album are “lots of co-writes” (including 2 with Hardcore Superstar, his favorite band) and are  about “everything”, encompassing a range of emotions.

The album is currently untitled.  After the final Idols Live show in Rochester, James says he will head to Los Angeles (via his home in Santa Cruz) to record and will finish recording when they return from their September 20 and 21st shows in the Philippines.

Thanks Durbnet
