A couple of quick updates on the first and the latest, American Idols.
David Cook’s post-Idol debut album David Cook was certified platinum on January 22.
David Cook was released on November 18, and has sold nearly 900K.
FYI: RIAA certification is based on units shipped to retailers, rather than sold, which explains why albums are often certified before they sell a million copies.
Congratulations to David Cook! He’s currently entertaining the troops in Iraq on a USO tour. In February, he begins a Spring tour of college campuses.
And in Kelly Clarkson news, y’all will get a sneak peek of Kelly’s video for her smash single “My Life Would Suck Without You” during the American Idol telecast on Wednesday.
I guess the clip will be snuck in between Salt Lake City auditioners?
